Is there child day care or in room babysitting so the parents can get away for a few hours? There used to be Simba's Playroom (or something similarly titled) but I cannot find anything on the web page about it.

Hi James, and welcome back to planDisney!

I do not blame you for wanting to have a night out without the little ones because there is so much to do just for adults, and we deserve to have fun too, right?

Unfortunately, the child care facilities that existed at select Walt Disney World Resorts are all closed; however, there are other available options. One option is the Children's Activity Center at Camp Dolphin, located on the lower level of the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. The services are provided for kids ages 5 to 12 and include fully supervised programs. The cost will vary depending on when you drop off for an early or late evening outing. You will need to make advance reservations as soon as you have pinpointed the night you plan to go out.

Another option, if you want in-room sitter services, would be with companies such as Kid's Nite Out. The caregiver will arrive at your hotel or resort at an agreed-upon time with activities and toys ready to be played with. I recommend making your reservations at least 2-3 weeks in advance, especially if you have plans set in stone. Their phone number is 800-696-8105.

Please let us know if you have additional questions.

    Have a magical time!
