If my child with a DAS pass wants to ride with a friend on a ride can friend take place of one of the family members listed on it? Or could friend’s be listed instead of some of the family members? Can this change be done at a guest kiosk?

You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney, Andrew!

Thanks for stopping by with your question for us today.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Disability Access Service (DAS) which helps Guests who may be unable to wait in a traditional queue environment. My little Mouseketeer also uses this service when we visit The Most Magical Place on Earth and it is one of the many reasons we adore Walt Disney World Resort. Services like these ensure everyone can enjoy the Parks during their magical vacation!

Andrew, I love that your Mouseketeer is bringing a friend to Walt Disney World Resort! Rather than taking the place of a family member, I would encourage you to head to Guest Relations, including kiosks, located in every Park, to see if you can add your Mouseketeer’s friend to the party. It is entirely at the discretion of the Cast Member helping you, but in my experience, every time we have taken an extra Guest, I have explained the situation and the Cast Members have been understanding. This way, your entire party has the option of riding the attraction, rather than picking and choosing. In order to make this process seamless, be sure to get all of your party to connect with one another on your My Disney Experience account’s Family & Friends list.

Once your party is set up to use the Disability Access Service, you can head on over to the attraction of your choice and a Cast Member there will provide you a time slot to return. Although FastPass+ service isn’t available at the moment, you will get to pass through the FastPass+ queue using the Disability Access Service.

If you haven’t already, be sure to make your Disney Park Pass reservations for the Theme Parks you will be visiting. There is so much fun to be had, and should you think of any more questions as you plan your magical vacation, your pals at planDisney are all EARS!

Have the most enchanting trip with your family, Andrew!
