If child is currently 3 years but will be turning 4 during his visit to Disney world would I have to buy him a child ticket or does he get in for free? The website says child under 3 dont need a ticket.

    Hi, Natalie!

It is so fun traveling to Walt Disney World with a little Mouseketeer! Everything is so magical for them. You may want to read about traveling with little ones to Walt Disney World. It might have some good tips for your upcoming vacation.

Once a child reaches age 3, he/she will require a theme park ticket. Since your son will already be 3, turning 4, he will need a valid admission ticket. There is a child price for tickets, and this price is for all children ages 3 - 9. Once children reach age 10, they will they be considered "adults" when buying their theme park tickets.

Once kids are 3 years old, they will also be charged at buffets and family style dining locations. Kids menus are available at Table Service locations as well as Quick Service locations. The kids' choices are really very good and I think reasonably priced.

Unfortunately, we can't keep our kids little forever (mine are now teenagers, yikes!) but at least we are eased in with a discounted child rate for tickets and dining at Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
