We will have a child who will be 2 when we check into our resort. They will be turning 3 while we are on vacation, do I need to purchase a ticket for them?

Hello Deb!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom´s Panel.

What a great idea to celebrate their birthday at Walt Disney World.
As part of your family birthday celebration, you will be able to register both children as two years old for the entire vacation and enjoy the benefit of free admission to the parks.  Also, if buying a Disney Dining Plan they will not be included in the plan.

You will be able to celebrate their three year birthday and still be able to enjoy free admission to the parks.

As a birthday surprise, I recommend a pirate makeover at The Pirates League.  This is a fun experience that both, my daughter and son, really love - as well as mom and dad.  Kids must be three years old to be part of this experience.

Dining with Disney Characters is another great experience for young children.

Have a memorable birthday celebration and enjoy this free perk by Disney.

Glad to help you plan a magical Disney vacation.
