Is there child care available at Disney Resorts if the adults would like to have a dinner or maybe catch a concert at House of Blues(adult time)?

    Hi Philip,

You can absolutely enjoy a wonderful adults night out while your children are well-cared for at Disney. You have two options for babysitting: drop-off childcare centers and in-room sitting. The childcare centers are located in several deluxe resorts, but guests staying at any Disney resort may use them.  Potty-trained children ages 4 to 12 are accepted here. There are always at least two adults present in the room.  The centers have games, crafts, books, and movies. They also serve your children dinner, which you select from a set menu. I have used the centers at the Grand Floridan and the Polynesian Resorts, and my two boys gave both rave reviews.  In fact, I had a hard time getting them to leave when I returned from my evening out!  Reservations for the centers can be made through Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE (939-3463).

A second option is in-room sitting, which is available at any of the Disney resorts, as well as at off-site locations. Disney itself does not provide the sitters, but rather contracts the sitting out to outside agencies, including Kids Nite Out (407-828-0920).  In general, the sitters will bring some art supplies and books to entertain the kids and will put them to bed for you. I have used Kids Nite Out several times, and had wonderful, well-trained sitters come to my room each time that my children loved and were very comfortable with.

Whichever option you chose, have a fabulous evening out!
