Hi. Can my child bring her own lightsaber to do the Star Wars Jedi Training?

    Hi there, Jennifer!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Your trip to Walt Disney World Resort is just around the corner and I know you are busy getting all your final preparations in order and that includes packing the most important essentials – like lightsabers and autograph books!

My boys cannot wait until our trip to Walt Disney World this fall.  They are both finally old enough to participate in the Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and they are busy “preparing for it” by practicing at home.  Although we have been working on our skills with our personal lightsabers, we will be leaving them at home because all Recruits will receive a special Training lightsaber to be used during their training session.  So, leave yours at home or if you do bring it with you, plan on deactivating it prior to the training session.

Some things to keep in mind about registration – Younglings must be between the ages of 4 and 12-years old to participate and must be present at the time of registration.  Also check out my fellow panelist, Ashley P.’s helpful tips for securing a Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple spot; I know I will be keeping those hints in mind when my time comes!

May the force be with you,
    Stephanie
