I have a child that is autistic. Do you have any events, or days that are specific to sensory issues? For example do you open the park 1 day a year without having it be on sensory overload?

    Hi Laurie,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

While the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks don’t currently have any “days” scheduled specifically to cater to Guests with sensory issues, that only because there are specific services and accommodations designed with them in mind, available every day!

I strongly suggest that you check out the Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities page for more information about ways that your child will be able to enjoy all that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer, including the Disability Access Service. My friends have brought their kiddos with special needs and a special view of the world for an absolutely wonderful Disney Parks vacation thanks to these services.

I hope my answer helps you plan a Disney Day that is wonderful for your entire family. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
