My child has Autism and we would like to apply for the DAS Pass for him. How do you use the DAS for rides and attractions at Disneyland at DCA that don't have Lightening Lanes? Thanks.

Hi there, William, welcome back to planDisney!

We appreciate you bringing your question here to us. I see that you have plans to arrive at the Disneyland Resort in August and are seeking some assistance with Disability Access Service (DAS) and what you can expect from these services. I'm happy to share more information to help you plan a smooth trip.

Guests with disabilities can pre-register for DAS virtually from 2 - 30 days before arrival with a cast member virtually. At this time, there are select experiences that may be available for DAS pre-registration. Availability isn't guaranteed for pre-registration. Guests who seek to ride attractions that do not have Lightning Lane or are not available for DAS will need to wait in the standby line typically if the wait is less than five minutes. However, in our experience, by showing DAS to the cast member at an attraction that has no Lightning Lane with a wait longer than 5 minutes, some attractions allow the guest + party to enter through the exit of the attraction. It is always up to the cast member's discretion but it has been a positive experience for our family. Be sure to also download the relevant planning guide for guests with disabilities.

During your arrival, the resort may be undergoing its shift in decor to Halloween Time, which runs officially beginning August 23, 2024, through October 31, 2024. It's always a fantastic time and even better when you've got a plan and a dream! Well, William, I hope this helps you prepare for your upcoming visit. Let us know if you have any other questions, we're here to help!

    Have a magical week!
