Can a child between the ages of 3 & 6 share a parents meal at a non buffet/family style meal?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michael!

I really enjoy dining at Walt Disney World Resort, and one of the things I love most about the restaurants and dining locations is how flexible they are for every taste, family, and special diet. When you're traveling with little ones, it's important that everyone gets what they want and need at mealtime, so I'm glad you came here to ask about sharing meals with your kids. If your children want to share off of your plate instead of ordering their own meal, that's perfectly fine. In fact, my husband and I will frequently split Table-Service meals in order to get a few more appetizers and desserts so we can try more dishes! The only time you would not be able to split a meal would be at a buffet or family-style restaurant, a Character Dining experience, or a dinner show like Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Since there is an entertainment factor to those meals, anyone over the age of three must pay the listed price or redeem the appropriate amount of Disney Dining Plan credits.

If you're looking for a themed dining experience where you can split meals with your kids and enjoy some entertainment too, Disney's Hollywood Studios is going to be great for your family. Your Mouseketeers will love eating in a retro car-shaped booth at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, or maybe you want a chance to get to know all your new "cousins" at 50's Prime Time Café, which was my favorite restaurant to visit at Walt Disney World Resort when I was a kid myself!

    Have a magical day, Michael!
