I am "Chief Planner" this trip and will have 2 rooms at 2 resorts for the same dates, I will be listed as a guest for both but only 1 room will have park tickets and dining linked to it. How is this going to effect the magicbands since I will hav

    Hi there, Stephanie!

I'm so excited for you and your official title of "Chief Planner" for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation! I feel like the planning is at least half the fun of going on a big family trip, so congratulations!!

Since you are listed as a Guest on the Resort reservations for both rooms, you will receive 2 MagicBands. They will each act as a room key for the room that they are attached to. The one that goes with the room that has the Park tickets and Disney Dining Plan linked to it will more-than-likely be the one you'll want to wear.

I am actually an Annual Passholder, so I have a MagicBand with that ticket media linked to it. When I stayed at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel last month, I tried to see if I could have my MagicBands combined so I'd only have to carry one of them, but that wasn't a possibility at that time, so I had my Passholder MagicBand and then another one that served as my room key. You could certainly ask when you check in to see if anything has changed, but I'm thinking you may just have to keep the one that is just going to serve as a room key in your bag if you're carrying one.

I hope this answers your question, Stephanie! Please don't hesitate to write back in if we can help with any other questions you have as you plan!

Wishing you and your family a Pixie Dusted vacation!
