Welcome back to planDisney, William! Thanks for swinging by to ask about my favorite Theme Park at Walt Disney World Resort:
Disney's Animal Kingdom. I love spending time there because the magic of the natural world is around every corner, and there's always something new to discover and learn about.
So many of the
animals that live at Disney's Animal Kingdom have become stars in their own right through the beloved Disney+ series, Magic of Disney's Animal Kingdom. It's so fun to get a peek behind the scenes to see how these animals are cared for, what they eat, and how they contribute to conservation efforts to preserve endangered and threatened species in the wild. Sadly, Popcorn the Frizzle chicken is no longer at Disney's Animal Kingdom, but so many of the stars of the show are around for you to see. Jao the white rhino and her baby Mylo are often out at
Kilimanjaro Safaris, and I almost always catch a glimpse of Stella, the youngest African elephant in the herd.
If you want to learn more about the amazing animals at Walt Disney World Resort, there are some up-close and personal encounters that you can do with some of the Theme Park's most popular residents.
Caring for Giants is an hour-long experience where you can learn more about the care and feeding of the elephant herd, and the
Up Close With Rhinos tour will take you backstage to meet some members of the white rhino crash. I did this tour a few years ago and I met Helen the rhino and now I always look for her whenever I ride Kilimanjaro Safaris. She's really easy to spot thanks to her uniquely hairy ears!
Have a magical day, William!
Jessica
