Hoo-hoo! Big summer blowout! Julia, with the way the weather has been lately, some time in the
Walt Disney World sunshine sounds divine right now. And a little time with Anna and Elsa is definitely worth melting for.
I appreciate you coming to
planDisney and asking about the menu at
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. I have been to the Most Magical Place on Earth with family members with food allergies. I know from my experience that the Cast Members are amazing at accommodating these needs. Not only did they make sure the food was safe, but I appreciated that my family member never felt like her options were "less than" what was available to us. She had limitations, but they did not prevent her from having tasty meals.
For your time with our favorite characters in Norway, the Kylling: Chicken with Apple and Fennel Preserves includes fennel in the preserves, so I assume they can serve this without it. But I also know assumptions and allergies are not the best combination. You can email any dietary request or questions to Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com.
In my experience, I am asked about food allergies when I check in for dining, am escorted to our table and when the Cast Member assisting us comes to meet us. A fennel allergy may have them a bit stumped since it is not even on the
Special Dietary Requests list of less-common allergens, but if they don't know, they will check with the Chef.
Julia, I hope this helps and that your meal with our Frozen ladies leaves warmth in your heart. And if you are looking for a tasty beverage to enjoy before heading to another country in the World Showcase, stop by for
Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe for a Kristoff Kaffe. Ice is his life! And this coffee is mine.
Bon Appetit!
