Hi there!! I have a Chef Mickeys ADR at 7:10AM and am staying at the Art of Animation Resort(72 days away!) What are my best transportation options for such an early Res? Will I need to arrange my own for a party of 6?

    Greetings Taija,

You certainly know how to start the day out right at Walt Disney World Resort! Having breakfast at Chef Mickey's on the fourth floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort as the monorails glide by overhead will set the tone for a magical day.

You have a few options to reach your destination on the morning of your reservation at Chef Mickey's. The first Early Morning Dining Reservation Bus will depart Disney's Art of Animation Resort from the front of Animation Hall at 6:15 a.m. and it will likely make several stops at restaurants on your way to Disney's Contemporary Resort. If you choose this option, I'd plan to be on that first bus of the day.

Personally, I would opt for a private car service. I'd have a van pick up your party of six in front of your resort at 6:40 a.m. and have the driver take you directly to your destination. I frequently use Mears Transportation to reserve vans for just such an occasion. Or, you could start out your morning in a particularly festive manner by downloading the Lyft app and summoning a Minnie Van to take your family to Chef Mickey's. These two options would require a fee but I have found that every minute is precious when it's that early in the morning on a Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

Whichever option you choose, please say 'hiya pal' to Mickey for me!

Sending best wishes and pixie dust,
    Jill
