Hello Rachel,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
Whether you are spending a day in the parks, or just looking to add a bit of magic to an ordinary Wednesday, character dining is so much fun!
Chef Mickey's is one of the most popular restaurants at Walt Disney World, so even though they are accepting reservations, they tend to fill up almost immediately 60 days in advance. If your hoped for reservation day is still more than 60 days out, I recommend being ready to go bright and early 60 days before you want to dine.
New reservations typically open up at 6:00 AM EST, but you might want to be online a little before that. Even being ready early doesn't guarantee your reservation; you'll still need a little pixie dusted magic.
It's good to have some backup plans.
If you don't have park tickets and want to dine with Mickey and his pals,
Topolino's Terrace for breakfast at Disney's Riviera Resort is a great choice. If you have park tickets, there are even more options:
Garden Grill in EPCOT for lunch or dinner,
Hollywood & Vine in Disney's Hollywood Studios for lunch and dinner, and
Tusker House in Disney's Animal Kingdom. I often have really good luck getting last minute reservations to Tusker House.
Hope this helps. Have a magical day!
Diane
