If I have a Chef Mickey reservation at 6:45 do you think I can still make the Pirates and Pals at 7:45? do you think that would be pushing it?

    Hi Melissa,

Dinner at Chef Mickey's and the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage are wonderful additions to any Disney vacation.  Chef Mickey's is a buffet-style restaurant, so you can eat and enjoy the restaurant for as long as you like. Once you are seated, you are welcome to head to the buffet and start eating.  You won't have to wait to order and for your entree to arrive.  The fireworks cruise departs from the Contemporary Resort, which is where Chef Mickey's is located, so you won't have a long journey after eating.  In fact, you'll just need to hop on the "down" escalator.  Most guests spend a bit over an hour at dinner, which is typically about the time it takes for all of the characters to make their way to your table.  If you arrive for your reservation a bit early (25 minutes or so) and happen to be seated early, and you don't mind missing some of the characters, you may be able to make it.  If you are interested in spending a longer amount of time with the characters, and tend to linger at dinner, you might be better off trying to move your voyage to another evening or secure an earlier reservation.

    Have a magical trip!
