    We have a Chef Mickey reservation at 2 pm the day of our arrival. We can’t check into our room at Port Orleans until 3 pm. Can we park over at contemporary for our meal or should we park at our resort and bus over?

    Hi, Shawnna!

    Starting your vacation off with a meal at Chef Mickey's sounds magical! I am sure Mickey and his Pals will be excited to see you. 

    You are certainly welcome to park at Disney's Contemporary Resort during your dining time. Upon arrival at the Contemporary, stop at the Security Gate to show your ID and give your reservation number. The friendly security guard will direct you to the parking area.

    If you prefer, park your car at Port Orleans and hop on a bus to the Magic Kingdom. From the Magic Kingdom, take the quick 10-15 minute walk to the Contemporary. After all, you are on vacation so leave the driving to the wonderful bus drivers who will be happy to zoom you around property. 
     
    Although rooms are not guaranteed early, you might find that your room might be ready prior to 3pm. During the online check-in process, you can request a text notification to let you know when your room is available. If you do not receive a text by 3pm, stop by the front desk to check on your room status.
