Chef Mickey, do the characters join for dinner? is it a buffet? I'm not a big buffet person. Is it worth it? We are looking for a dinner our last night after magic kingdom closes and heard chef mickey was good, would the characters still be there that late

Hello, Alyssa! We do Chef Mickey's on every trip because it is my 5-year-old son's favorite Character Dining Experience. It's a high energy environment that gets you excited to be there and the food is great too. Where else can you sit down for a meal and see Mickey and friends walking around? At Chef Mickey's the Fab Five will make their way around to your table one at a time for a hug and a photo. We usually bring an autograph book and a Sharpie so that we can get signatures. Ive even had Mickey sign a postcard for a family member back home. I'm not sure when your reservation is, but the characters will likely still be roaming around for as long as it takes to see everyone.

You are correct that it is a buffet. I find this to be a good thing, because my son is very picky, and here there is a little bit of everything. Also this means there is a great dessert spread, so be sure to save room! I definitely think that Chef Mickeys is worth it. I suggest that you at least give it a chance and form your own opinion about the experience.

I hope this helps, and if you need anything else, you know where to find us! Have a magical Walt Disney World vacation.
