How to get to chef Mickey from AoA

    Hi Amy,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for sending us your great question about Disney transportation options throughout Walt Disney World Resort!  One of the great perks of staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, is the complimentary transportation available to guests on Disney Property, when my daughter was younger she had to take every mode of Disney transportation at least once, every visit!

In order to get from Disney's Art of Animation to Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort, your best bet will be to hop on a bus to Magic Kingdom Park.  Once you arrive at Magic Kingdom Park, follow the signs to the Resort Monorail Line.  Disney's Contemporary Resort is one stop away!  If you prefer, you could walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort just as easily.  I find it quicker to walk, but sometimes it is more fun to take the Monorail.  If you would like to walk, once you leave the bus area, there are clearly marked signs for guests heading to the Walkway between Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Contemporary Resort.  There will also be plenty of Cast Members who will be able to point you in the right direction as well.  Whichever way you choose to travel, be sure to leave enough time to get to your reservation at Chef Mickey's.  It does take a little bit longer since you will need to take two different modes of transportation, Disney recommends leaving up to 90  minutes to travel between locations on property.

I hope you have a magical stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Amy.  If you have any other questions, please come back and visit planDisney again, we are always happy to help.

    ~Stephanie
