    We have Chef Mickey ADR & spending the day in MK on 1/1, staying off property. Will we be able to leave our car at the Contemporary and go into MK or have to fight holiday traffic to park? Other suggestions? We are APs if that makes a difference. TY!

    Hi Karla!

    For January 1st, Disney has already announced parking restrictions at the Contemporary Resort.  Most likely you will be given a parking pass when you arrive that limits the number of hours you can park there; the last time I received a parking pass there it was for three hours (they are generally only given out on extremely busy days at Walt Disney World).

    A better solution might be to go ahead and park in the Magic Kingdom parking lot and then take the monorail or ferry boat to the Magic Kingdom.  Before going into the park, however, make the five minute walk to the Contemporary.  Then after your meal at Chef Mickey's, you can just take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom.
