Hi there, Lindy!
Thanks for sending your question to us at planDisney! This dedicated group of Disney-loving panelists is always happy to help! Need tips or restaurant recommendations? Want to know which rids are best for your family? We've got you covered. That includes some extra little ticket tips that may help grant your wish!
The Disneyland Resort is still operating at limited capacity to ensure the
health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members. Unfortunately, this means that when tickets are sold out for a particular day, there are no magical back doors or secret spells to make a ticket available for purchase. But, this isn't the end of the story.
Guests change their plans often during their time at the Disneyland Resort and many Guests modify their plans before their arrival. When a Guest changes their park reservation date, that slot opens up for other Guests to purchase a ticket for that particular day. In your case, the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar is going to be your best friend! Keep checking the calendar frequently to see if any park reservations have opened up on the date you'd like to visit. If you see a gray slash through a date, that means both parks are still sold out for that day. If you see the green Mickey icon,
Disney California Adventure Park is available to book that day. The pink castle icon means
Disneyland Park is available to reserve. And on the luckiest days where you see both icons, you can choose either park to visit that day. Check back frequently because you never know when all your dreams may come true!
Lindy, if you do not end up getting tickets to the Disneyland Resort, you may consider checking out the
Downtown Disney District in your free time. Though there are no rides, a nice day of shopping, snacking and dining at delicious restaurants sounds pretty magical to me! You'll still feel the magic in the air and get to take in the Disneyland atmosphere! Don't forget to find the perfect pair of ears at
World of Disney!
Have a magical day,
Ashley
