Hello and welcome to planDisney, Joann!
It is a pleasure to answer your very first question. You will be
making pixie-dusted memories at the Walt Disney World Resort with your little ones in just a couple of days, and we cannot wait for you to experience the magic that awaits you!
I am happy to hear you will be our Guest at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Besides being immersed in Disney magic during your holiday, you will also be able to take advantage of benefits like
complimentary transportation and
Early Theme Park Entry. As the mother of two girls who usually need a midday break, I find it very convenient to use Disney transportation to go back to our hotel for a nap and return to the parks late in the afternoon. You will have a magical time at
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort. The resort grounds are beautiful, and the Guest rooms have been recently renovated and include amenities that will be useful during your stay.
Although in-room microwaves are not available, you are welcome to stop by
Front Desk upon arrival to explain your needs to Cast Members and request one in your room. I am sure they will do their best to accommodate you, but unfortunately, there are no guarantees. Hotel policies are also subject to change, so remember that making that request may not be possible by the time you arrive for your holiday. Even if you cannot have a microwave in your room, you can use the microwaves available for Guests at
End Zone Food Court.
Upon arrival, you can also request a
crib, but I recommend contacting the
Walt Disney Travel Company or your travel agent to check if it is possible to add that request to your reservation. Whenever I needed cribs, I requested them upon arrival at my Disney Resort hotel, but since quantities are limited, it does not hurt to make your request in advance. The crib provided is usually a standard Pack ‘n Play and will probably come with a fitted sheet, so I suggest bringing a small blanket to make your baby more comfortable. I also took my daughter’s little pillow with us. Other crib options may be available, so be sure to check with Front Desk.
It was a pleasure answering your question, Joann. I hope this helps you while planning and that you have a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
Best Disney wishes,
Thiana
