    Hello, we are checking into Shades of Green on 18/10/18 and then checking into Port Orleans Riverside the next day. My question is since we are checked in at SOG can we use the extra magic hours on the day we switch before we check into Riverside? Thanks

    Thank you for your question, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! First and foremost, please extend my appreciation to the service member in your party. As a Navy wife, I am so grateful for the excellent discounts and pixie dust sprinkled on our military families at Walt Disney World.

    I have great news for you, Roger: you will be able to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours on the morning you check out of Shades of Green Resort. You’ll be able to check out of Shades of Green, head to the theme park offering Extra Magic Hours, and then return to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside at your convenience for your 3:00 p.m. check-in. If you complete online check-in, you can even receive a text message with your room number when your room is ready.

    I spoke to the Bell Services team at Shades of Green recently, and they shared the procedure for transferring from Shades of Green to a Walt Disney World Resort. Because processes are always changing, I recommend talking to the front desk team when you check in at Shades of Green so that the day you switch resorts works as smoothly as possible. I just love the service provided at both Shades of Green and Walt Disney World’s resort hotels, and I know they’re going to take great care of you. 

    Enjoy both resort hotels, Roger, and have a blast during morning Extra Magic Hours! Being in the theme parks first thing in the morning, with the cooler air, a pixie-dusted coffee beverage, and the excitement of a magical day ahead is perfectly blissful.
