I am checking out of my resort and spending one day in WDW. I want to use gift cards to pay for my magic band charges from that day rather than Disney charging my credit card. Can I do that at guest relations before I leave the park?

    Hi Meghan,

Glad you stopped by today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your vacation is just a few days away so let me be quick - it's time for you to start packing your bags!

MagicBands are the best invention since sliced bread. These technological marvels carry your Theme Park Tickets, your FastPass+ selections, and all your photos and videos taken by the Disney PhotoPass Service photographers. And when you stay at a Disney Resort Hotel, they will open the door of your room, and you can use them to purchase food and merchandise, and charge these to your room folio.

While you may have a credit card on file for purchases or incidentals, you can always apply funds from a Disney Gift Card, by visiting the Front Desk. You can continue to use your MagicBand for purchases after Check-Out, but these charges could be applied towards your credit card on file at any time. My suggestion would be for you to use Disney Gift Cards for purchases past Check-Out.

One last tip: remember your Disney Resort Hotel Guest benefits end at midnight of your Check-Out date, including Dining Plan entitlements. See you real soon!
