    We'll be checking in Pop Century (3pm) & have ADR at Trail's End 7pm, in September. We would love to go canoeing at Fort Wilderness before dinner, but the rental place closes at 5pm. What is the last time we can get to the rental place?

    Hi Andrea!

    Visiting the Fort Wilderness Campground Resort is definitely worth some time during your Walt Disney World vacation. It includes a large area of cabins and also a large area of campground sites and loops. It covers more area then any other resort making it also one of the most peaceful locations.

    There is lots to see and do and certainly renting a canoe from the Bike Barn is one option. With the Bike Barn closing at 5pm all boat rentals must be back by that time. They will rent boats up to 4:30pm giving you a nice half an hour to enjoy the back waterways of the Fort.

    From the Bike Barn to Trails End it is only about a ten minute walk. Sidewalks connect both of the locations. Once you arrive at Trails End you might have some time before your reservation. You can enjoy the large playground, the Trading Post store, the beach area, or even walk over to the Disney stables where you can meet some of the gorgeous large horses used in the park parades. If canoeing doesn't work out there is still plenty to do while you wait for dinner!

    And being a frequent guest at Fort Wilderness I can tell you that the dinner buffet at Trails End is one of the best on property! Enjoy!
