Hello Robin!
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing a question our way!
One of the highlights of staying on property at a Disneyland Resort is the close proximity to the theme parks.
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is my favorite because it has a dedicated entrance, called the Grand Gate, that Guests may use to enter
Disney California Adventure Park. I find the dedicated entrance to be very helpful when I want to take breaks at the hotel throughout my day at Disney California Adventure Park.
And, even if you are not staying on property, I can confirm that you will have in and out privileges. When you first arrive at the turnstiles, you’ll be presented with a paper ticket. If you decide to explore the
Downtown Disney District or head out to check in to your hotel, your paper ticket will be used to re-enter when you return. But, as always, theme park admission is subject to attendance availability.
I hope this helps! Come back to planDisney if you have more questions!
