Hi Ian, welcome to planDisney!
I understand you're in the process of completing the
online check-in process for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. You know what that means, right? You're going to Disney World!! Your kids are at a great age for experiencing Disney magic. Step into your own snow globe by experiencing
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The talented storytellers make this an entertaining experience for the whole family, I promise.
Did you hear about the toddler who bought a car using a parent's smartphone? I understand and support your efforts to avoid an accidental spending situation during your vacation. Given the chance, my kids would probably buy a lifetime supply of Mickey krispie treats and Legos. Allllll the Legos, haha!
My online check-in settings default to previous vacation payment settings so I can't lay eyes on the specific screens you're seeing during your online check-in process, Ian, but there should be a way to decline or skip the step of the check-in process that asks you to set a payment PIN number for your children. If not, you are welcome to set up a secret pin that is not shared with your children. MagicBand payments can only be processed with a PIN number, which provides an extra layer of account security during your visit. My personal preference and recommendation is to stop by the front desk of your Disney Resort hotel after arrival to confirm that your payment settings are exactly as you want them. As a general rule, my children do not get payment privileges.
I hope this information helps give you some peace of mind before your upcoming trip, Ian. My favorite way to spend Disney dollars during the holidays is on food from the
holiday kitchens at the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
