We are checking out of OKW same day that we have Chef Mickey Reservations for breakfast. Are we able to have Bell services at OKW take our luggage to AKKV that we will be checking into that afternoon?

Welcome Home, Wendy! Thanks so much for swinging by the Disney Vacation Club corner of planDisney. It's always a treat to chat with a fellow DVC Member. You've got a friend in me, and I'm happy to help make sure your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation is smooth sailing.

A split stay is such a pro move, Wendy - getting the opportunity to experience not one, but TWO of the fantastic Disney Vacation Club resorts will make for a memorable vacation!  Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village are both terrific spots. My husband and I enjoyed our first stay at Kidani earlier this year after many stays next door at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, and there is really nothing better than sitting on your balcony watching the animals on the savanna. It's one of those "only at Walt Disney World" experiences!

I'm delighted to set your mind at ease, as you can most definitely bring your bags to Bell Services on the day of your transfer between the two resorts. Simply take your luggage to the Bell Services desk before you depart for breakfast (Chef Mickey's - iconic!) and let them know where it needs to go. They will give you a claim check, and you can head out and enjoy your day while your bags are magically whisked away to location #2. Keep in mind that luggage may not arrive until later in the day, so be sure to keep anything with you that you might need during the day. You can collect your bags from Bell Services at Animal Kingdom Villas, or check in to your room and call to have them brought up. I always keep some extra cash on hand to tip the Cast Members!

Wendy, I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes, and that you have the very best time at The Most Magical Place on Earth. It will be here before you know it!  Please don't hesitate to stop by planDisney again if we can help with any other questions to add a little extra pixie dust to your travels.

    Stay Magical!
