Lorrie from RI Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hello - if checking in through mobile app how does a rental car get registered to the room? And can there be more that one car registered per room? Also, if paying with DVC points, what is the daily resort fee? Have a magical day! Thanks Lorrie

    Welcome back to planDisney, Lorrie!

I'm so glad you stopped by with another planning question.  Along with luxury accommodations, dining and shopping discounts, and Member-exclusive events and spaces, there are plenty of other perks you'll enjoy when you use your Vacation Points to stay at a Disney Vacation Club Resort.  Since your upcoming Walt Disney World visit is just around the corner, let me share a few details about some other Member Benefits you'll enjoy during your stay.

As a Disney Vacation Club Member staying at a DVC Resort, you'll receive complimentary standard overnight self-parking during your stay, whether you're using Vacation Points or another form of payment during your stay.  You'll also receive this complimentary parking benefit if you're using Points to stay at a non-DVC Disney Resorts Collection hotel.  How cool is that?! At Walt Disney World DVC Resorts, this benefit also extends to each registered Guest in your room, so if you're staying in a 3-Bedroom Grand Villa, you could park up to 12 vehicles during your visit.

And don't worry –– you won't need to pre-register those vehicles during the online check-in process.  When you arrive at the Resort, security will need to scan your MagicBand or verify your reservation in order for your to park, so complimentary parking should automatically be applied.  However, if you see an incorrect charge for parking on your final Guest Folio, just drop by the Front Desk and a Cast Member will be able to assist you with making the correction. You also won't have to worry about paying a separate Resort fee when you stay at a Disney Vacation Club Resort or any other Disney Resorts Collection hotel.  Things like complimentary theme park transportation, use of the hotel amenities, and wifi are all included with the use of your Vacation Points or your room price.

There's also one more thing to do before you arrive –– to take advantage of all your DVC Member Benefits during your stay, you'll need to download your new Disney Vacation Club Digital Membership Card to your smartphone.  This can be done right from the My Disney Experience app by downloading a Disney MagicMobile Pass to your device's digital wallet.  Just keep in mind that your DVC Account must be linked to your My Disney Experience account in order to download your card. If you need step-by-step instructions, I recently shared more about the download process with another Guest, so be sure to check out my answer for more details.

Thanks for visiting us again at planDisney, Lorrie.  I have a feeling that you and your family are in for plenty of DVC adventures during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit!
