I will be checking in late in the evening on Friday, staying at the Grand Floridian. Is it possible to order a bottle of prosecco to have waiting in the room upon our arrival?

    Hi Elizabeth,

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! Your visit to Walt Disney World is just hours away, and it sounds like you have a plan for how you’d like to start your vacation!

The Cast Member I spoke to said it is not possible to request to have a bottle of alcohol waiting in your Resort room because the Cast Members will need to check your ID. However, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has Private Dining, or room service, so you can use your room phone to order a bottle or glass after you’ve settled in. Dinner service hours are from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM so hopefully you’ll arrive in time to order a glass. If you need to wait until morning, continental breakfast is offered from 6:00 to 7:00 AM, and then the full breakfast menu is available from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

This gives you some options for starting your vacation off right, Elizabeth! You could also visit the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! I see the festival kiosk in Italy has Prosecco on the menu, so imagine yourself in Italy while you enjoy your beverage of choice. Check out the Foodie Guide to the Festival on the Disney Parks Blog to see what other international dishes you can try. If you have any more questions, send them our way at planDisney!
