It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Shannon! I'm so glad that I get to answer your question today because you've come here to ask about two of my favorite things:
dining and the
holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort! I think that the Theme Parks and
Resort Hotels are magical every day of the year but there is that extra little bit of pixie dust sprinkled around Christmastime that makes it the perfect time for a vacation. A festive dinner is such a special part of the magic of the holiday season, so I'm happy to give you some recommendations!
I think that
Disney Springs would be a great place to find an incredible Christmas dinner.
Wine Bar George serves up mulled wine all through the holiday season and last year they had an amazing special menu that celebrated Italian holiday traditions so they may have something special up their sleeves again this year. I know that lots of families, mine included, really enjoy Pan-Asian cuisine around the holidays so take a look at the menu for
Morimoto Asia to see if it looks like something you might like. One year I think I might like to go there for Christmas dinner and share the Morimoto Peking Duck with my family instead of cooking! The food at Disney Springs is really spectacular, but it's a great place for a holiday meal because you can end the night with a trip to the
Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail, which features almost two dozen Christmas trees fully decked out in Disney themes.
You mentioned that there are a few Resort Hotels that you're interested in visiting, and if you're going to be spending time at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort I recommend checking out
Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood. It's situated at the very top of the
Gran Destino Tower and features sweeping views of most of Walt Disney World Resort. You'll be able to gaze out on the twinkling lights while you enjoy your Christmas dinner!
Flying Fish at
Disney's BoardWalk Inn is one of my favorite places to enjoy an evening and would make for a very special holiday meal if you want to celebrate with seafood. Christmas Day is a really popular day to dine at pretty much every restaurant inside the Theme Parks, Resort Hotels, and Disney Springs so be sure to make your reservations 180 days in advance of your arrival so you have the best chances of getting a spot at one of your top choices.
Have a magical day, Shannon!
