Christine from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I am checking in at the Grand Californian on 12/30 for 1 night. Is complimentary parking given for the entire days of the 30th and 31st? Or is it tied to check-in/out times? Or when you arrived? If I leave at 1am on 1/1, am I charged a day of parking?

    Hey Howdy Hey, Christine!

Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney. Yeehaw, Christine!  How exciting you are giddying up over to Disney's Grand Californian Resort for a night. This beautiful Resort is one of my absolute favorites in all of the Disney Vacation Club Resort collection, and its proximity to Disney California Adventure Park is just one of those reasons. The serene setting of the California woodlands makes it ideal for taking a moment to relax and put your cowboy boots up.

Christine, if you are checking in on December 30th, you can park at the Resort as soon as you arrive, even if it is before your Resort room is ready for you.  If you have booked Disney's Grand Californian Resort under your Disney Vacation Club Membership with your Vacation Points, you should be eligible for complimentary parking for both the full day on December 30th and December 31st. I confirmed with a Disney Vacation Club Member Services Cast Member that the complimentary parking extends on the 31st even past your check-out time if you want to stay and play in the parks. But if you are there overnight from the 31st to the 1st and not staying as a Hotel Guest or are not staying under your Membership, then that could incur additional costs.

If you are a cash-paying Guest and not a Disney Vacation Club Member, the current rate for overnight self-parking is $40 + tax (subject to change) per night per vehicle for Hotel Guests; for oversized vehicles, it is $45 + tax (subject to change) per night per vehicle for Hotel Guests; and Valet Parking for Hotel Guests is currently  $70 + tax per night per vehicle (subject to change.) For day parking rates, you can find those here.

I hope this helps you, Christine! If you have any further questions, mosey back here to see us and we will be happy to help you. Remember, you've got a friend in me!

    Happy Trails,
    Keri
