Hi Reggie, welcome to planDisney! It looks like we've arrived at your check-in day at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Sorry we weren't able to address this a bit sooner, but hooray - you're at the Disneyland Resort!
In case this is still helpful, you are absolutely correct that you can still access
Early Entry on the day that you are checking in to your
Disneyland Resort Hotel. I typically check in through the
Disneyland Mobile App, but in this situation, I recommend going right up to the front desk so they can get you everything you need to access the Early Entry into Disneyland Park. You can also leave your bags at Bell Services and give them a call later in the day to deliver your luggage when your room is ready!
The only question left for you to answer is:
which attraction is first? For Early Entry, we like to go straight for the attractions that will likely get busier later in the day. At Disneyland Park, we usually head to
Fantasyland - especially to ride
Peter Pan's Flight. At Disney California Adventure Park, I usually like to head straight to
Pixar Pier for the
Incredicoaster.
The good news is that there really is no wrong answer here! Early Entry is an extra magical time in the parks and such a cool option for those staying in Disneyland Resort Hotels. Depending on how long you're staying, make sure to check out the
Lunar New Year celebration (
and treats!) in Disney California Adventure Park that starts on January 20 as well!
I hope you enjoy your stay at Disney Grand Californian Hotel & Spa! I stayed there with my family for the first time last November, and it was incredible. We especially loved taking a quick break in the lobby in the early afternoons to listen to the piano.
Thanks again, Reggie, and have an excellent trip!
Greg
