Greetings, Laura, and welcome to planDisney. Gawrsh, Goofy's Kitchen is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday!
Laura, it appears that
Goofy's Kitchen will transition to a springtime theme in early April. It's possible that reservations for this seasonal experience just haven't been released yet, which is why you aren't able to make a reservation at the moment. Based on last year's timing, however, I believe we might learn more soon. Keep an eye on the
Goofy's Kitchen page on the Disneyland website, as well as the
Disney Parks Blog and the
Disneyland account on Instagram.
I love the springtime theming at Goofy's Kitchen. Last year, there was cheerful decor, seasonal Character outfits, new food offerings, a special button, and more fun over breakfast, brunch, and dinner. There is usually an Easter brunch and dinner, too, which falls on April 5 this year.
Here's what I'd expect as far as next steps: The website will be updated with details for 2026, including when reservations will become available. Once that day arrives, you'll want to check early in the morning and then periodically throughout the day until you’re able to secure a reservation.
Laura, there will be so much to look forward to during your trip. Here are some exciting things to add to your list:
- The Disneyland Resort usually celebrates springtime with special treats that are themed for the season. Last year, the bunny cereal treat and the bunny caramel apple were popular among my family members. Watch for a Disney Eats Easter Foodie Guide sometime in March!
- The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will be in full swing during your trip. This is a foodie's dream, featuring several marketplace booths, each offering innovative small plates for purchase. If you want to sample multiple items, you can get a Sip and Savor Pass. There's also a lot of live entertainment, and in past years, Chef Goofy has made appearances in California Adventure, too.
- “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” is debuting at the Fantasyland Theatre in late March and will continue through the end of the year. This is going to be a lot of fun – imagine, Bluey and Bingo will take to the stage and help bring songs and games from the show to life. I can't wait to take my kids!
Don't forget to grab a complimentary birthday button for your son. Many retail locations and City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. have them – just ask a Cast Member. You can also get an extra festive treat for him. The 70th Stuff from Red Rose Taverne and the Strawberry Shortcake Macaron from Jolly Holiday Bakery both come topped with an edible decorative candle. Either would make a great birthday-themed dessert.
Laura, I hope this information has sprinkled a little pixie dust onto your plans. If you have any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
