We are checking on Friday to celebrate my son's 3rd birthday, which is Sat. Since he will be 2 at time of check-in, Disney considers him to be 2 for the duration of our stay, correct? Meaning, we won't need a park ticket for him on his actual birthday?

    Hello Elizabeth!

You are absolutely correct! Disney takes into account the age of your child when you check-in, therefore, your child will remain "free" for the remainder of your trip. (Not needing admission.) Enjoy your son's last "free" trip and please wish him a very happy birthday from all of us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    Magical Wishes,

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
