Lisa from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I’ve been checking every day for reservations to either skyline terrace or plaza inn for New Year’s Eve to watch the fireworks but haven’t seen anything come up. Have they already sold out? Or do you know when they will be released?

Welcome to planDisney, Lisa. We are so glad you found us to ask this question. I can't think of a better way to ring in the new year than by celebrating at the Disneyland Resort. Your year will be off to one magical start!

There's no better way to countdown and blast off into the new year than with a fireworks celebration. Advance dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance for select restaurants. I did a quick search for reservations for the New Year’s Eve Fireworks Dining Package at the Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace and was only able to find a reservation for a party of one. Unfortunately, it seems that most (if not all) of the reservations have been booked up for this special experience. I also checked the Plaza Inn Dining Packages and was only able to find A Christmas Fantasy Parade Dining Package and no events for New Year's Eve.

I do recommend continuing to check the Disneyland site for any reservations that may open up as Guests' plans often change. I have been lucky in the past and have been able to secure reservations this way in the past and your persistence just may be rewarded. I also noticed on the event's information page that same-day reservations can be made on a limited basis and are subject to availability. This can always be a backup plan on the day of your visit. I recommend heading over there early to increase your chances.

No matter what happens, I know your day will be filled with magic and you'll be surrounded by all of the merriment of the holidays. Take in all of the festive décor around the resort and get lost dancing in the snow falling on Main Street, U.S.A. And don't forget to indulge in a seasonal treat or two (or three).

Lisa, I'm sorry to be the bearer of this not-so-great news, but I hope the information I've shared is still helpful. I will be sending all of the pixie dust your way in the hopes that you're able to secure your spot for this magical experience either in advance or on the day of. Please come back to let us know if there's anything else we can help with.
