Hi Courtney,
Welcome to planDisney! I am delighted to see you planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!
It sounds like you have been diligent with checking for
advanced dining reservations. There could be a few reasons that availability looks limited. If you have not tried this, I suggest searching the specific restaurant instead of searching the entire dining list. So, go to the website of the restaurants you prefer, and then search for availability. When I have been using the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, there have been times when I have just searched for availability with the entire restaurant list and a specific restaurant did not appear with availability. But then I have searched availability specific to that restaurant and available times have appeared.
I also encourage you to try restaurants in resort hotels if you have not considered those already. The
Grand Floridian Cafe and
Kona Café are two of our favorite restaurants. You could also try The Wave... of American Flavors,
California Grill,
Narcoossee's, and
'Ohana. Also search restaurant availability at
Disney Springs. We always take at least a half day to visit Disney Springs and love to dine at
The Edison or
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'.
Normally, if I am searching for a particularly hard-to-get restaurant, I just pick a few nights when I have some time and I search repeatedly using a mobile device. I have often had success using this strategy. I have also sometimes used an online dining reservation finder service. I prefer the free options to help search for Walt Disney World dining reservations.
Courtney, I am sending a little extra pixie dust trusting that you will get your dining reservations soon. Keep trying! Cancellations do happen!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
