Welcome to planDisney, Becky! Thank you so much for this question.
I'm so excited to share some insight with you because my family recently experienced the
World of Color Dessert Party for the very first time during our last Disneyland Resort visit! This is such a special dining event for Guests of all ages and it was definitely a highlight for us! Currently, Guests who reserve a World of Color Dessert Party are asked to check in for their reservation one hour before their selected showtime. You'll want to remember that your reservation is for the dessert party starting time, and not the actual performance time for the show. I do recommend that your whole party check in together at the station at the Eureka water wheel, near the
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. This will ensure that everyone in your group can get their wristbands. If you happen to check in early, you might have some extra time to enjoy the theme park offerings until it is time to take your seats for the Dessert Party, but I wouldn't suggest delaying too long so that you are sure to make the most of your party time!
In my recent experience, we checked in about 20 minutes early for our reservation, and then one adult waited in the queue while I took my daughters to a nearby merchandise shop. We rejoined a few minutes before the Dessert Party reservation time and were among the first groups to be led to the reserved seating area by a Cast Member. Our dessert plates and beverages were served almost immediately and we had about 60 minutes to enjoy them before the
World of Color - ONE show began.
I hope this is a helpful rundown of the World of Color Dessert Party logistics, Becky! If I can help clarify anything further or if you have other questions that come up in the meantime, please don't hesitate to
reach out again. I'd love to share more about this special experience or anything else to spread a little pixie dust on your upcoming Disneyland Resort vacation.
Wishing you Wondrous Journeys,
