Hello, Jeanette! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
Jeanette, I'm so excited to see that you'll be checking into
Disney's Vero Beach Resort later this week. I love that in addition to visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, Members are able to use
Disney Vacation Club points at beach destinations. In my opinion, they are the perfect blend of rest, relaxation and of course... Disney Magic! Our last beach trip was to
Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort and my kids are always begging to go back.
Now, Jeanette, while I could continue gushing about enjoying the waters of the Atlantic, let's talk about grilling. The quick answer to your question is, YES, you will find available grills on a "first-come, first-served" basis. However, there are a few things to keep in mind.
First, these are charcoal grills, so if you are driving and have room, toss in a bag of charcoal before you leave home. If not, you can find small bags for sale at the
Island Grove Packing Company.
Next, it's important to know that you'll need to walk a bit to grill up those burgers (
or whatever delicacies you're cooking up). My family and I were recently at
Disney's Old Key West Resort and my husband was in charge of cooking dinner. He wished we would have packed a small, soft-sided cooler to transport all of our items since the grill was not close to our villa. At
Disney's Vero Beach Resort, you'll find the grills lakeside, across the tunnel breezeway. A pleasant stroll, but on the opposite side of the resort from the beach access.
Jeanette, I hope this helps as you are preparing for your vacation. Please come on back to planDisney with any other questions you may have.
Wishing you a vacation full of unforgettable moments... and delicious dinners!
Lauren
