Hi! For checking in and dining at Disney World (coming from Canada), what forms of ID do we need? Do we need more than just a passport?

Greetings, and welcome to planDisney, Amarah, we thank you for your question!

The 50th Anniversary Celebration is in full swing at Walt Disney World Resort, and I am thrilled to hear that you will be there, Amarah, congratulations! Don't forget to look for the gilded sculptures of our beloved Disney characters with the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection across all four theme parks!

The check-in process at your Disney Resort hotel involves presenting a valid credit card and valid Government-issued photo identification, therefore your Canadian Passport is perfect. The only other place you would have to present valid Government-issued photo identification is if you are picking up your Will Call theme park tickets at any Walt Disney World Resort ticket booth or at the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. You do not have to present any such identification for Resort-wide dining but it's always good to be prepared in the event you wish to consume alcohol - don't forget to finalize any Disney Dining Reservations!

In preparation for your arrival, it is a good idea to link all Disney reservations to your Disney account and then complete your Disney Resort hotel Online Check-In to enjoy Disney Direct-To-Room Service via the My Disney Experience app. Disney's Direct-To-Room Service expedites your arrival and enables you to unlock your Guest Room door using your mobile device when your room is ready, just be sure to enable location settings and notifications in the app.

Most importantly, please ensure your make your Disney Park Pass – Theme Park Reservations for all in your travel party in advance of your arrival as this is the process in place at this time for visiting the theme parks. As well, please customize and purchase your MagicBands as soon as possible and no later than 10 days before your arrival. Your MagicBands will be waiting at the Front Desk of your Disney Resort hotel on your arrival day.

    Tips:
Download and update the Payment Method in the My Disney Experience app to facilitate vacation essentials such as Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering and adding the Disney Genie+ service on the day of your reserved theme park visit.

Using the My Disney Experience mobile app you can create a Disney MagicMobile pass to access your theme park admission from your mobile device digital wallet to gain entry into the theme parks with Disney MagicMobile Service.

Amarah, I hope you find this information useful, it was my pleasure assisting a fellow Canadian Disney fan, and I wish you a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort, thank you!
