We are checking out of a different resort and have breakfast reservations at Boma before leaving to go to the airport. Even though we are not guests at Animal Kingdom Lodge, can we check our bags with guest services during our dining reservation?

Hi, Courtney, and welcome to planDisney! As a big fan of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge (and an even bigger fan of Boma - Flavors of Africa), I'm so excited to help you with your question today!

My family enjoyed our first visit to Boma on a recent visit to Walt Disney World, and I must say, I was seriously impressed! From the vibes and the food to the amazing Disney Cast Members who work there, we genuinely felt welcome, cared for, and entirely enchanted (we also felt so full after our breakfast that we could hardly walk, but that's a story for another day!). Suffice it to say, I totally understand why this incredible all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast is on your dining to-do list!

It sounds like we have something important in common, Courtney: we both love to make the most of our time in Disney World! So naturally, I love the idea of squeezing in one last meal before you hit the airport. Let's jump right in and get your departure day plans all sorted out!

I know your question is about checking your luggage with Bell Services over at Animal Kingdom Lodge. But before we get to that, you'll need to consider how to transport your luggage there in the first place. If you have a car, you can load up your bags and drive on over for your dining reservation - in which case, the easiest option would be to leave your luggage in the car while you enjoy your breakfast.

However, if you're relying on Disney transportation to get around, things get a little more complicated, since luggage is not permitted on any type of Disney transportation, including Disney buses. Even if you could transport your bags to the resort, there's no guarantee that you'd be able to check them with Bell Services, since that service is technically reserved for registered Animal Kingdom Lodge guests.

I know this wasn't the answer you hoped for, Courtney, but you still have a few options for a magical Disney World morning! First, I'd suggest checking your luggage with Bell Services at your own resort and using the Minnie Van service to get to and from your reservation at Boma. Minnie Vans are the fastest and most efficient way to get around, and will save you lots of precious time on a busy travel day.

As a last resort, I'd consider choosing a different restaurant that's closer to your resort. For instance, if you're staying at a Magic Kingdom area resort, Kona Café at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort serves up laid-back vibes and that deliciously iconic Tonga Toast. Or, if you're staying at a resort with access to the Disney Skyliner, try Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort. With its panoramic views and top-tier food, this one is always a must-do for my family. Not to mention, there's absolutely no better sendoff than breakfast with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy!

Thanks for stopping by, Courtney, and I hope this information is helpful. If you have any other planning questions, you know right where to find us here at planDisney!

    Wishing you a fabulous trip,

    Allison
