Hi Sara! I’m so happy to welcome you to planDisney! Extended evening theme park hours are such an amazing perk for Guests at Deluxe resorts. There is something so magical about being in the parks late at night, and the shorter wait times for some of our favorite rides is the pixie dust on top!
This is a great question about
bus transportation back to other resorts at the end of the night, so you are smart for thinking ahead! I just checked with a Cast Member, and he was able to confirm that buses will only run to Deluxe resorts at the end of
extended evening hours. Unfortunately, buses back to Disney Springs will also not be an option because they only run one hour after Disney Springs closes. Since Disney Spring usually closes at 11 p.m., there would not be enough time to travel there and then catch another bus to
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter if you left Magic Kingdom at midnight.
With this in mind, you would have two options to get back to your resort hotel. The first option is
Minnie Van™ Service. These are available until 12:30 a.m. and conveniently pick up right near the bus loop for Magic Kingdom. You can set this up through the Lyft app, but the vehicles are driven by Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members. Minnie Vans may be in high demand at the end of the night, so this is something to keep in mind with limited other transportation options. Your only other option would be to take the monorail or ferry to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then use a rideshare service, such as Lyft. Rideshare services are unable to pick you up near the entrance to Magic Kingdom.
Sara, I know this may not be the news you were hoping for, but I hope I’ve given you some alternate options that will help the end of your night run smoothly. If you have any more questions,
stop back by and see me. I’m always here to help and love adding extra pixie dust to your Disney vacation planning.
Magically,
Casey
