Hello Holly!
Thanks for bringing another great question to
planDisney, I'm happy to assist. Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the corner so let's dive in!
When staying at a
Deluxe Disney Resort, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort or other select hotels, Guests can enjoy
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours on select nights at select theme parks. Crowds are much lower so Guests will likely have much shorter wait times on most attractions. On nights with extended evening theme park hours at
EPCOT and
Magic Kingdom Park, Guests also have an extra opportunity to join virtual queues at 6:00 PM for either
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind or
TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise. One thing to keep in mind is that not all Walt Disney World attractions will be available on these evenings.
Holly, I have some good news for you. If you are a Guest with a reservation at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you are considered a Guest until midnight on the day of check out. You are still able to use the resort amenities for the remainder of the day even if you have already checked out. I verified with a Cast Member and they confirmed that you would be eligible for the extended evening theme park hours on your check out day/check in day at a value resort. When you scan your MagicBand+/MagicMobile Pass/Key to the World Card, it will show that you are an eligible resort Guest and you will be able to stay until the end of the event at 1am.
Did you know that since you are moving to another Disney Resort Collection hotel, your luggage can be moved for you? After checking out of your first resort, take your luggage to Bell Services. Inform them of the resort you're transferring to, and they will arrange to send your luggage over. Since this process can take a while, it's advisable to keep a day bag with essentials like medication, sunscreen, and a swimsuit if you plan to swim. Upon arrival at your second resort, your bags will be waiting for you at Bell Services, where you can either pick them up or request delivery to your room. It's like magic!
Holly, I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning. Have a wonderful vacation at Walt Disney World Resort!
See you real soon,
Candace
