Hi, Devon! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
The
holiday season is one of my favorite times to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. I can almost smell the heavenly scent of gingerbread from the lobby of
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa just thinking about it. Nothing could be more magical than seeing
Cinderella Castle transformed into a glittering ice palace. While spending Christmas week at the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm sure you and your family will make memories that you will treasure for a lifetime.
All of the details of this yEAR's holiday celebration at Walt Disney World Resort are still being planned. Be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for updates about the holiday festivities. I haven't yet heard if a holiday soundtrack will accompany your rocket as it blasts off at
Space Mountain on Christmas Day. However, I can tell you that in the past, much of the events and entertainment from
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party could be experienced by all
Magic Kingdom Park guests throughout the week of Christmas.
During your holiday visit, be sure to attend one of my favorite Christmas events, the
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays - Candlelight Processional. At the Candlelight Processional, you will hear the story of Christmas, told by a celebrity narrator and accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra and massed choir. This production is so beautiful and incredibly moving. It never fails to bring a tear to my eye and put me in the holiday spirit.
Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation and a very merry Christmas!
Samantha
