Checking in the day before our 2 y/o's birthday. I am not able to add her to FP+ because of her age, but yet when I looked at the details of our reservation, it shows a child on the dining plan. Is she still free since we checked in before her bday?

    Hi Jennifer,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

If you’ve purchased a Disney Resort Hotel Package for your upcoming vacation, your daughter shouldn’t need a Theme Park Ticket for any part of your stay. If her 3rd birthday happens after you check in, she should be considered “under 3” the entire time.

From what I understand, this should also apply for any Disney Dining Plans you’ve added to your vacation. That being said, if she’s under 3 years of age, typically, she shouldn’t be assigned any Disney Dining Plan entitlements for the duration of your stay. If you see child dining entitlements on your reservation, then these were possibly assigned in error. I’d highly recommend contacting Walt Disney World Resort in order "untangle" your vacation plans and to see why these entitlements were assigned to your reservation.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,
