We will be checking in Coronado Springs next month for our 17th Anniversary. It is actually the same week we went to Disney for our Honeymoon. We booked a standard room. I was wondering if they upgrade rooms. Would love to have a water view. THANK YOU.

Hi Karen, They do occasionally upgrade rooms upon check-in at WDW Resorts, but it is certainly not a guarantee. I have received only two upgrades during my 70+ visits and they were both at the All-Star Music Resort. I had a standard room booked once and the other time I did have a preferred room booked and they upgraded me and my family to a Family Suite both times (which was lovely). It all depends on varying factors such as what is available when you check-in (sometimes they are at capacity and an upgrade is the only way to accommodate a guest) and maybe they are doing renovations, so an upgrade is necessary, etc.... So you can see that the odds of this happening are not very good, but it does happen. I just wouldn't count on it so you are not disappointed when you arrive and find out that you did not get an upgrade. Good luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and Happy Anniversary! Best wishes, Brigitta
