Disney Vacation Club with a fellow Member. You'll be arriving at
Walt Disney World Resort in just a few weeks, and I am sure you're getting excited! You've got a friend in me, and I'll be here to help track down the information you're looking for.
You are bound to have a magical vacation at
Disney's Beach Club Villas--it's one of our favorite DVC resorts! Staying there in August is a great choice so you can take full advantage of pool time at
Stormalong Bay (as well as the three other pools shared between the Beach Club and
Disney's Yacht Club Resort) to cool off. The location is just about perfect--being able to walk to
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios is so convenient!
The Beach Club Villas feature Deluxe Studios, 1-Bedroom Villas, and 2-Bedroom Villas. For any of these types of lodgings, there are several possible views--woods, pool, courtyard, and resort. I like the woods view quite a bit as it is generally very quiet. There aren't really specific areas to request, but you might want something that's on a higher floor, close to the lobby, or that has a larger balcony.
You can make requests via the Online Check-In feature in the
My Disney Experience app, but these selections can be limited. I recommend using the chat feature on the Member website or calling
Member Services if there is something specific that you have in mind. The helpful Cast Members can attach this request to your reservation--while nothing is guaranteed, they will do their best to make some vacation magic for you!
During your Beach Club stay, don't forget to leave room for ice cream at
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop--you can make a reservation at this casual Table-Service spot for lunch or dinner, or stop by the to-go window for a sweet treat. The No Way Jose sundae is my #1 Disney dessert!
