General Magic Kingdom Fireworks

    I am checking in to bay lake tower on Monday the 30th. I would like to view the NYE fireworks on the 31st at the top of the world lounge. Do I need to make a reservation?

    Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for asking a great question about celebrating New Year’s Eve at the Top of the World Lounge - A Villains Lair atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. You'll surely have a most magical time ringing in the New Year with stunning views! 

    Disney Vacation Club Guests staying at Bay Lake Tower can view the New Year's Eve fireworks from the outside balcony (just outside the Top of the World Lounge). To secure a spot for this breathtaking view, be sure to register with a Cast Member in the Bay Lake Tower lobby between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM on the day you’d like to watch. Availability is limited, as a set number of wristbands are reserved for Disney Vacation Club Members and their Guests. Members can register up to 4 Guests or the number of people listed on their resort reservation.

    For my family, watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from this balcony has become a special tradition. The view is magical, and hearing the heart-soaring soundtrack piped in makes the experience unforgettable. Watching the fireworks on New Year’s Eve is sure to become one of your core Walt Disney World Resort memories!
