We will be checking into AoA on 21SEP. There is EMH morning at HW. Do we need to check into AoA before the 8am EMH or can we use our reservation # at HW? Is there a way to check into AoA online? We don't want to trek to AoA that early, rather be in park.

    Hi, Julie!

You really need to check into your room at Art of Animation before heading to Hollywood Studios.  I know this is not what you want to hear, but I have lots of good reasons!

-At check-in you can give a cell phone number and as soon as your room is ready you will get a phone call.  This way, you will know if you can head back to your resort for an afternoon break.
-To participate in Extra Magic Hours, you need your Resort ID.  You cannot enter the parks without it, so a stop at your front desk is required.
-You can actually just leave your car at your resort!  Check-in, then hop on a bus to the park!  Your friendly bus driver will drop you off right at the front gate.  Handy!
-Without a Resort ID or parking pass, you would be charged for parking.  Boo!  Who wants to spend money on parking when it will be free for you as a Resort Guest at Art of Animation.
-If you booked a package including tickets and dining, these need to be picked up at  your resort.

Well, there is my argument for stopping at your resort before heading out for a magical day in Hollywood Studios.  If you need clarification on anything I mentioned, let me know!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
