We are checking in at AKL Kidani Village in March 2022. Is the activities for beads educational program running? What activities are available?

Jambo, Julie! Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with your Disney vacation planning question!

How exciting that in just a couple of short months, you'll be arriving to the beautiful lantern-lit lobby of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village, ready to begin your next wild adventure at Walt Disney World Resort! Kidani Village is one of my very favorite Disney Vacation Club Resorts, and I actually just returned home from another stay here! From the moment you step into the lobby, you are transported to a beautiful African village on the savanna, and nothing beats watching the animals roam as you sip your morning coffee or evening glass of wine on your balcony.  Here, with some of the best dining in all of Walt Disney World Resort and an endless list of Resort activities, you can have the most magical vacation without ever even leaving your Resort!

While some of the cultural and educational activities, such as the activities for beads, have not yet returned, rest assured that there are still plenty of fun and educational activities for you and your party to enjoy at both Kidani Village and Jambo House. I always snap a photo of the Recreation Activities list near the lobby, to have on hand in my mobile device, and while these could change a bit month to month, I am happy to share what is available at this time. At Kidani Village, I think that you will love watching the "Animal Enrichment" program that takes place on certain days at the Resort Lobby Terrace. You get to help an Animal Keeper prepare interactive objects for the animals while asking any questions you may have. Don't forget that you can also view the animals with night vision each evening at the Sunset Overlook! I think that you will also really enjoy "Off the Path," where you view the Pembe Savanna with your very own guide. If you join the 4:30 p.m. viewing, you can then enjoy the campfire, beginning at 5:00 p.m., immediately after. Currently, you can even purchase a 50th Anniversary Celebration S'mores kit to make the campfire extra sweet!

Speaking of the 50th Anniversary Celebration, be sure to stop at the front desk for a Resort Scavenger Hunt map, where you will search for iconic opening day Magic Kingdom Park attraction tickets. This is such a fun way to explore the entire Resort! While you're exploring, make sure to stop into the Community Hall, open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for games and crafts. I'd also suggest walking over to Simba's Activity Center at Jambo House to create your own African jewelry, ceramics, arts and crafts.

Julie, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village is the perfect place to explore, relax, learn, create and enjoy your upcoming wild and pixie-dusted adventure. I am wishing you the most magical time, my friend. Stop by any time with any of your vacation planning questions!

I hope to see ya real soon!
