    I am checking out of AK Lodge September 1st. There are extra magic hours for Disney Resort guests that day at HS to see Star Wars from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Even though that is my check out day, would I be allowed access to these extra magic hours?

    Hello, Stephanie. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. 

    Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is such a fabulous resort. I really enjoy staying there, I just know you are going to love it too. I think you'll be happy to know that all of the perks and privileges of being a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests expire on midnight the day your check out. Kind of like Cinderella. You'll absolutely be able to take advantage of the extra, Extra Magic Hours offered at Disney's Hollywood Studios that day. If you don't plan on returning to the resort until after your check-out time, you can take all of your luggage to the Bell Services desk and they will hold it for you until you are ready to leave. This is a great service and it's free! When I visit Walt Disney World I try to stretch out my last day as long as possible. I always ask for a late check-out, hit up the Walt Disney World Theme Parks early in the morning and then enjoy some time at the resort's pool before I head home. What a perfect way to end a trip!

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
